"Awesome disaster film
Moonfall is a science fiction disaster film that is action packed, thrilling, and has so much packed into one film. Roland Emmerich film which he always does disaster films and having a story of catastrophic events and characters that are trying to survive the event. Cheesy as it is, this film is one of his best films.
Sure, the script can be cheesy with John Bradley's character and his humor. The plot is great. The film does have a twist in direction right before the climax when the three characters Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, and John Bradley head to the moon and make a discovery that can change the course of history. Also, the film borrows similar concepts to other sci fi films like The Abyss and such.
The cast did great. Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, and John Bradley all did great. Michael Pena playing a small role was also okay. Charlie Plummer playing Brian Harper's son with a sub plot of him being a troubled teen.
And is with Halle Berry's son and her exchange student trying to survive the cataclysmic event on Earth. With the moon coming close and gravity waves causing destruction. The film is action packed. The visual effects are awesome.
This is one entertaining blockbuster film that should not be taken seriously but enjoyed for what it is. And it does its job with pure entertainment."

"After seeing the first preview of Moonfall whilest seeing another film in theaters, I was honestly really excited for it. Being someone who has always been interested in the Moon I was very curious to see how this movie would be done and honestly it did not disappoint.
I see a lot of people speaking negatively but I guess you just have to realize that not every single time a new film comes out with the premise of “End of the world” “Humanity banding together” “Alien invasion” that it’s going to be an even greater take on it than say Independance day or Cloverfield.
I think the idea of the Moon being this “Mega Structure” was really awesome and that playing with the idea that our ancestors are the reason for our survival thus far, was really interesting to see.
The cast was so versatile, and it was exciting to see John Bradley on the big screen he fit that role perfectly! Yes, some events that did happen throughout the movie could make you scratch your head a little bit, but in a good way.
It seems that the movie leaves us with the idea that there could be a second movie which would be amazing as all those unanswered questions could be answered eventually, especially since now all of civilization will learn of the knowledge of self aware AI (terrifying) and the galactic war that has been going on for centuries! Overall awesome set up for an awesome idea that can be expanded on."
